Amending the financing and spending plans in the Saint Paul Regional Water Services 2010 Adopted Budget in the amount of $668,300 in reimbursable spending for SPRWS work related to Metropolitan Councils Light Rail project, as recommended and requested by Board Resolution No. 7097.

WHEREAS, in its 2010 budget, the Board of Water Commissioners did authorize $5,400,000 for water main and service connection capital improvements, of which $640,000 is to be contributions from developers of property in the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Light Rail Projects planned for 2010 will require the coordination, inspection, testing, temporary water service and valve operations for relocation of water facilities in the project areas, the amount of which was unavailable at the time the 2010 budget was adopted; and
WHEREAS, staff later determined that the amount needed to fund this additional work is $668,300, which is to be reimbursed by Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners did adopt Resolution No. 7097 approving Amendment No. 2 to its 2010 budget, which increases the water main and services capital improvements by $668,300 to $6,068,300, and did also request that the Saint Paul City Council approve said Amendment No. 2, as shown in attached table.
Now, Therefore, be it Resolved, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve Amendment No. 2 to Saint Paul Regional Water Services 2010 Adopted Budget, as shown in attached table.
