Purpose of Appeal
Our home at 1681 Beech Street was built in the 1950's. At that time, the window openings in questions were to code. We purchased the home in 2005 and at no time did alter the windows in any manner. The measurements of our windows are measured at 21in openable height and 29in openable width. This translates to 129 sq in or .89 sq ft greater surface area than required by today's standards. The windows also have 3 sq ft more glazed area than needed. We are requesting a variance since the total surface area of the window is substantially greater than the requirements.
