Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to solicit and accept $15,000 in cost-share funding and matching funds for shoreland restoration work at Lake Como.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation (Parks), is eligible to receive up to $15,000, total, in cooperative cost-share funding from the Ramsey Conservation District (RCD) and the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD); and
WHEREAS, projects including erosion and sediment control, shoreline restoration, and stormwater best management practices are eligible for cost-share funding through the reimbursement of materials and contractor costs; and
WHEREAS, Parks had identified several projects along the Lake Como shoreline meeting these criteria; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute such agreements as may be necessary to accept these grant funds on behalf of the City.
