Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation from Midway Men's Club for Adaptive Recreation Programming.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, through its Adaptive Recreation Program, offers many events, classes and activities; and
WHEREAS, the Adaptive Recreation program tries to keep prices low because the participants are on a limited income; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has received a specified donation of $1,000 from the Midway Mens Club, to be used toward adaptive programming in their neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this donation and use it to reduce the costs for the adaptive programming in the Midway neighborhood; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the donation and dedicates it to the purpose for which it was intended, and thanks the Midway Mens Club for their generous gift.
