Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of $2,019.00 from Hiway Federal Credit Union for Amtrak train rides for two groups of children and chaperones.
Body
WHEREAS, Hiway Federal Credit Union, 111 Empire Drive, St. Paul, MN 55103 wishes to donate $2,019.00 to the North Dale Recreation Center for its No School Days Field Trip; and
WHEREAS, the recreation center appreciates donations that assist and enhance their programs; and
WHEREAS, the field trip will allow 72 children and chaperones to ride the Amtrak Train to Red Wing, MN and participate in activities at the Red Wing YMCA; and
WHEREAS, the donation will enable the City to keep the fee low so families will be able to participate in this program; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts the donation and appropriates it to the intended use, and thanks Hiway Federal Credit Union for its generous gift.
