Ratifying the assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during November 8, 2023 to May 20, 2024. (File No. VB2503, Assessment No. 258802)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-1395 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during the time period of November 8, 2023 to May 20, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on February 5, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:
RLH TA 24-439: 2130 Ivy Avenue East;
RLH TA 24-441: 2117 Mohawk Avenue;
RLH TA 24-455: 1769 St. Anthony Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the assessment will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
