WHEREAS, City Council File RLH RR 23-56 ordered the razing and the demolition of the structure of 1058 Jessie Street within 15 days after the March 13, 2024 City Council Public Hearing; and
WHEREAS, City Council referred the matter to Legislative Hearing under File # RLH RR 24-19 to review this case to consider the possible grant of a stay of enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer conducted hearing on April 23, 2024 under File # SR 24-47 to review this request made by Doreen Pollock and Scott Sax (sister and brother-in-law) on behalf of Colleen Pollock; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends the Council deny the request for a stay of enforcement of Council File RLH RR 23-56 ordering the razing and the demolition of the structures at 1058 Jessie Street within 15 days since Doreen Pollock and Scott Sax has withdrawn their request for a stay; Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter, denying a stay of enforcement of Council File RLH RR 23-56 ordering the razing and the demolition of the structures at 1058 Jessie Street within 15 days; and be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council hereby affirms its direction to the Department of Safety and Inspections to abate the nuisance and dangerous conditions by removal of the structures within 15 days.
