Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department for the reimbursement from the Minnesota Firefighter Initiative for one firefighter to attend the National Firefighter Cancer Symposium in Miami, FL, February 21-24, 2024.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department will be reimbursed by the Minnesota Firefighter Initiative $1,944.67 for travel costs for one firefighter to attend the National Firefighter Cancer Symposium in Miami, FL, February 21-24, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the firefighter training is a governmental purpose; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $1,944.67 in excess of those estimated in the 2024 budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council that $1,944.67 is available for appropriation in the 2024 budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby amended as outlined in the attached financial analysis.
