Accepting the gift of the cost of registration, hotel, and airfare expenses from the National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO) for Brittney Baker, Christyn Lewis, and Ken Adams to attend the NASEMSO conference being held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania May 14-16, 2024.

WHEREAS, the National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO) will be paying for expenses for two Saint Paul Fire Department employees and one retired Saint Paul Fire Department employee to attend the NASEMSO conference; and
WHEREAS, the NASEMSO will be paying for the registration, hotel, and airfare costs for Fire Equipment Operator Brittney Baker, and the registration costs for Firefighter Christyn Lewis and retired EMS Coordinator Ken Adams, and
WHEREAS, the annual NASEMSO will be commemorating the Freedom House Ambulance and they have invited the Saint Paul Fire Department employees to share their expertise and knowledge relating to Station 51 and our EMS Academy program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the attendance at this conference is beneficial to the City by allowing the Fire Department employees to discuss ideas and experiences with our EMS Academy program; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of the cost of the registration, hotel and airfare expenses to the NASEMSO conference, and thanks the NASEMSO for its generous gift.
