Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, January 23, 2024, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  Work had been completed but tenants hadn't vacated til late the previous night. Needed to verify condition of property and start bed bug treatment that tenants caused.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Staff originally accepted a vacate order with this appeal, then realized there was a vacant building notice coming, and waited for that to become available

 

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jake Johnson to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 880 York Avenue, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 30 days to February 23, 2024 to get Fire Certificate of Occupancy reinstated; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
