Accepting gifts of travel, conference registration, meals, and lodging for Library staff members from COABE
Body
WHEREAS, the COABE (Coalition on Adult Basic Education) conference is being held in Nashville, TN from March 17-20; and
WHEREAS, COABE has offered to provide complimentary conference registration for two Library staff members; and
WHEREAS, COABE has offered to reimburse the Library for the costs of travel, meals, and lodging for one Library staff member; and
WHEREAS, COABE will present one Library staff member, Adriana Galván, with the award of Teacher of the Year, on the second day of the conference; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference will further the Library’s mission to welcome all people to connect, learn, participate and grow; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Public Library Board accepts the gift of registration for two staff members and the gift of travel, meals, and lodging for one Library staff member to attend the conference and thanks COABE for its generous gift.
