Authorizing the City, on behalf of the Police Department (“SPPD”), to accept and amend the 2024 Special Fund Budget for a Partner Grant from the Capitol Region Watershed District (CWRD).

WHEREAS, the Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) has awarded a 2024 Partner Grant to the SPPD for $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the SPPD’s Police Activities League (PAL) will use this grant to partner with subgrantee Urban Ice Anglers, an initiative of Elpis Enterprises, to expand a collaboration designed to give as many as 2000 Saint Paul students an opportunity to go ice fishing on Como Lake; and
WHEREAS, there are no matching fund requirements for this award; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department received approval to apply for this grant on RES 23-1664; and
WHEREAS, the 2024 financing and spending plans need to be amended and activity budget added for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $10,000 in the Special Fund; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $10,000 is available for appropriation in the Police Department Special Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
