Authorizing the Department of Public Works Sewer Utility to accept Point Source Implementation Grant (PSIG) funds from the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (PFA), and authorizing City staff to execute a grant agreement on behalf of the City for the Bush Desoto Stormwater Pond Improvements Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Point Source Implementation Program, established in Minnesota Statutes 446A.073 as amended provides funds for construction projects; and
WHEREAS, City Council Resolution 21-211 authorized City staff to apply for PSIG Grant funds with the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority for funds to be used for
eligible costs for the Bush Desoto Stormwater Pond Improvements Project (Project); and
WHEREAS, City staff are authorized to accept the PSIG grant funds in an amount up to 80% of eligible Project costs; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Sewer Utility has funds for all engineering, testing, and construction costs to complete the Project; and
WHEREAS, City staff are authorized to accept PSIG grant fund reimbursements for Project costs incurred; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works or their designated assignee, the Director of the Office of Financial Services or their designated assignee, the Mayor or Deputy Mayor, and the Director of the Office of Human Rights and Procurement or their designated assignee are authorized to enter into the PSIG grant agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon receipt of the PSIG grant agreement from the PFA, the Director of Public Works, or designee, are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, and amendments thereto, as are necessary to implement the above project on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
