Renaming Elway Street from West Seventh Street to Shepard Road as Lexington Parkway and renaming Glen Terrace/Crosby Pointe driveway to Elway Street.

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has completed the Lexington Parkway Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, Elway Street from West Seventh Street to Shepard Road is now Ramsey County’s Lexington Parkway; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the existing addresses for residents of the Glen Terrace Condos and Crosby Pointe Apartments, the driveway serving the two buildings will be reclassified as a private road named Elway Street; and
WHEREAS, the new Elway Street is roughly 735 feet in length from the back of sidewalk on Lexington Parkway at its east-end to the edge of the circle parking lot on its west-end; and
WHEREAS, this road will continue to be owned and maintained by the associations that operate the two buildings; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County will provide a street sign for this private road; and
WHEREAS, the property owners at the Glen Terrace Condos and Crosby Pointe Apartments have been notified of the proposed change; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Elway Street from West Seventh Street to Shepard Road is renamed Lexington Parkway; and be it further
RESOLVED, the driveway serving the Glen Terrace Condos and the Crosby Pointe Apartments, as shown on the attached map, is officially reclassified as a private road named Elway Street; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that these changes shall be in effect after passage by City Council and 30 days after publication in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press.
