Approving the Mayor's appointment of Samantha Juneau to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
Body
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) is a legally distinct public entity that undertakes housing, commercial, and business development activities; and
WHEREAS, the HRA authorizes the acquisition of real estate, housing, and commercial loans and grants and the issuance of bonds; and
WHEREAS, the organizational documents of the Pension Plan of the HRA provide that the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, shall appoint one member to the Plan's Administrative Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul is comprised of both HRA and PHA employees and retirees; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's appointment previously filled by Adam Niblick (RES 20-1103) with a term end date of July 1, 2023, is currently vacant; and
WHEREAS, Samantha Juneau has applied for appointment to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority;
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Samantha Juneau to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Samantha Juneau to serve on the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority with a term end date of July 01, 2026.
