Authorizing an agreement between the City and Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) and the Police Department for the use of the Public Safety Bldg. Classroom A & Driver Training Facility.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD), on behalf of the City of Saint Paul desires to secure “Exclusive Licensed Space” from the State of Minnesota, by and through the Board of Trustees of MnSCU, on behalf of Dakota County Technical College (DCTC); and
WHEREAS, SPPD desires to use the DCTC Public Safety Bldg. Classroom A & Driver Training Facility between January 1, 2024 and June 30,2025 with specific dates & times to be agreed by both parties in advance; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement contain provisions whereby the City of Saint Paul agrees to indemnify the Parties against liability related to injury, death or damage to property as a result of SPPD’s activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that SPPD’s use of the exclusive licensed space will assist SPPD’s efforts to provide effective law enforcement services for local citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper city officials to execute this Agreement attached hereto.
