Authorizing the City, on behalf of the Police Department, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) wishes to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Marshals Service (USMS); and
WHEREAS, the SPPD and the USMS wishes to work together to investigate and arrest persons with active arrest warrants, and, along with other agencies, have formed the Regional Fugitive and Violent Offender Task Forces (RFTF/VOTF) to coordinate their efforts, and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into and Assistant Chief Jack Serier to implement the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Marshal Service.
