Title

Pertaining to an Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. to provide professional engineering services during the reconditioning of the Board’s elevated water towers.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul desires to obtain professional engineering services for the reconditioning of the Board’s Highland #3 elevated water tower; and

WHEREAS, at its February 8, 2022 meeting, the Board approved an Agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (“SEH”) to provide professional engineering services during the reconditioning of the Board’s Ferndale Street elevated water tower, which Agreement provided for the same scope of work to be provided for Highland #2 and Highland #3 upon mutual agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, SEH faithfully executed its responsibilities as stipulated in that Agreement to the satisfaction of Board staff and both parties wish to extend the same terms and conditions to the reconditioning project for the Board’s Highland #3 elevated water tower; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board desires to enter into an agreement with SEH to provide said services at a cost not to exceed $84,200; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests that City of Saint Paul Contracts and Analysis Services draft an Amendment to the Agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. dated February 9, 2022 known as Contract No. 3407 to provide professional engineering services for the reconditioning of the Board’s Highland #3 elevated water tower, at a cost not to exceed $84,200, and to include all other terms and conditions as may be required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement following approval by the assistant city attorney.
