Recognizing longtime community volunteer Chuck Nehls’s ongoing service to Highland Park and the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, a strong and vibrant community relies on the dedication and selfless contributions of its volunteers; and

WHEREAS, volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing community well-being and promoting positive change; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Nehls has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility towards improving the lives of the residents and businesses of Highland Park; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Nehls has formed a special partnership with the Highland Catholic School community through his special care and attention to their students, staff, and families; and

WHEREAS, under Chuck Nehls’s stewardship, the Highland Village Business District has become a more welcome, accessible, and enjoyable place for recreation and commerce; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Nehls’s efforts have not only enriched our community but have also inspired and motivated others to become involved in volunteering and making a difference; and now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council thanks Chuck Nehls for his years of dedicated volunteerism and service to the people of Saint Paul; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, In honor of Chuck Nehls’s years of service to the City of Saint Paul, June 17th, 2023, will be known as ‘Chuck Nehls Day’ in the City of Saint Paul.
