Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept an in-kind donation of registration fee, hotel, and food, valued at $650, for Mary Norton to attend the Collaboration of Regional Trail Initiatives (CRTI 2023) Conference in Pittsburgh from June 14-16, 2023.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation develops and maintains sites for outdoor recreation of all types throughout the City; and
WHERAS, the CRTI 2023 conference invites fellow leaders from regional trails and greenways around the country to attend; and
WHEREAS, the Richard King Mellon Foundation (CRTI 2023 sponsor) has generously agreed to cover accommodation, convening, and meals for conference attendees; and
WHEREAS, the donation, if accepted, will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation’s Mary Norton to attend the CRTI 2023 conference; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said donation of registration fee, hotel, and food for Mary Norton to attend the CRTI 2023 conference; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby requested to approve acceptance of the in-kind donation of registration fee, hotel, and food,for Mary Norton to attend the CRTI 2023 conference; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of said in-kind donation of registration fee, hotel, and food,and thanks the RK Mellon Foundation for their generous gift.
