Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to apply for the 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant to hire 14 additional firefighters; and

WHEREAS, the grant amount would be $4,579,629 to support these additional firefighter positions over the three years of the grant; and

WHEREAS, there is no city matching requirement for this grant; and

RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Fire Department to apply for the 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant.
