Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a three-year lease agreement with District 10 Como Community Council at the Historic Como Streetcar Station.
Body
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the Historic Como Streetcar Station, located at 1224 Lexington Pkwy N, St Paul, MN 55117 and would like to lease space to the District 10 Community Council; and
WHEREAS, allowing lease of space by the District Council provides residents an easily accessible space to the Community Council; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code Section 86.03 requires that any lease for a period of more than one year be approved by the City Council after a public hearing before the Saint Paul Parks Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Parks Commission recommended approval of the agreement (Res #22-13) at its December 8, 2022 meeting; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a three-year lease agreement with District 10 Como Community Council at the Historic Como Streetcar Station.
