Amending the 2022 Regional Water Services budget resulting in an increase in spending and financing of $250,000 for the Met Council to help with water conservation efforts.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (“Board”) adopted its 2022 budget in September 2021; and
WHEREAS, at its March 8, 2022 meeting, the Board directed staff to make application to the Metropolitan Council for grant funding through the Metropolitan Council Water Efficiency Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, Board staff completed said application and the Metropolitan Council awarded the Board $250,000 for the implementation of water demand reduction measures; and
WHEREAS, at its August 9, 2022 meeting, the Board formally accepted the funds via Resolution 22-1243; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners approved RES 22-1610 at the Water Board Meeting on October 11, 2022, recommending approval of the amendment to the 2022 Adopted Budget; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor does hereby recommend amendment to its 2022 Adopted Budget, resulting in an increase of spending and financing in the amount of $250,000, resulting in an amended 2022 Budget of $254,503,414 the details of such are attached.
