Pertaining to 2022 Administrative Order No. 8 increasing the 2022 spending budget to include $250,000 in Metropolitan Council Grant funds awarded to the Board.

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (“Board”) adopted its 2022 budget in September 2021; and
WHEREAS, at its March 8, 2022 meeting, the Board directed staff to make application to the Metropolitan Council for grant funding through the Metropolitan Council Water Efficiency Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, Board staff completed said application and the Metropolitan Council awarded the Board $250,000 for the implementation of water demand reduction measures; and
WHEREAS, at its August 9, 2022 meeting, the Board formally accepted the funds via Resolution 22-1243; and
WHEREAS, 2022 Administrative Order No. 8 increases the 2022 spending budget to include $250,000 in Metropolitan Council Grant funds awarded to the Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that, consistent with the authority granted to the Mayor in Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter and on request of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul to amend the 2022 budget of the Water Utility Fund, the Office of Financial Services is authorized to amend said budget in the manner as specified in the attached financial analysis.
