Authorizing the acceptance of a $1074.00 reimbursement from the State Historic Preservation Office for a Heritage Preservation Commissioner and staff member to attend the Annual Preservation Conference on September 14-16, 2022.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED), will incur costs for one member of the City's Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) and one city staff member to attend the Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference, to be held in Duluth, Minnesota on September 14 through September 16, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) is willing to provide reimbursement to the City for all of the costs of attendance by the HPC Commissioner and city staff member, anticipated to be $1074.00; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference will allow attendees to hear about important topics in historic preservation, including the new Minnesota Statewide Preservation Plan as well as inclusion, equity and diversity efforts in historic preservation, among others, which will enhance the city’s expertise in this area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes PED to accept the offer of reimbursement and thanks SHPO for its generous assistance; and be it
