Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County for sidewalk construction on Upper Afton Road between Burns Avenue and White Bear Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, the City plans to construct sidewalks on Upper Afton Road (County State Aid Highway 35) between Burns Avenue and White Bear Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the County and the City agree to each fund 50% of the Project cost; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2022-05 defines the engineering, administrative, cost participation, ownership and maintenance responsibilities of Ramsey County and the City of Saint Paul for implementation of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the agreement contains the promise of mutual indemnity, which the Council finds reasonable and necessary to effectuate the Sidewalk and Pedestrian Improvements on Upper Afton Road; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2022-05, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
