Authorizing the request of the HRA to withhold a tax-forfeit parcel from public sale for six months. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Ramsey County, Minnesota, through its Tax Forfeited Lands Section, Department of Property Records and Revenue (the "County"), administers holds on state owned tax-forfeited properties in Saint Paul; and

 

WHEREAS, the County permits the City of Saint Paul to submit a letter requesting that certain parcels be withheld from sale or lease for a maximum of six months, along with a certified copy of a City Council resolution stating the reason for the withholding; and

 

WHEREAS, in this instance the parcel requested to be withheld is:

 

802 Fuller Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota

Parcel ID No. 35.29.23.42.0138

Lot 6, Block 7, Butterfield Syndicate Addition No. 1

Residential, single-family dwelling

 

; and

 

WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul is requesting that said parcel be withheld for housing rehabilitation for its affordable rental program; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby:

 

1)                     Request that the County withhold said tax-forfeit parcel from public sale for six months; and

 

2)                     Authorize the proper city officials to submit to the County a letter requesting the parcel withholding for the above-stated purpose, along with a certified copy of this resolution.
