Pertaining to the retirement of Saint Paul Regional Water Services Engineering Division Manager, Dave Wagner.
Body
WHEREAS, Dave Wagner faithfully served the Board of Water Commissioners and the customers of Saint Paul Regional Water Services (SPRWS) for 35 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner began his career at SPRWS in June 1987 as a Civil Engineer 1 and had earned promotions to Civil Engineer 2, 3, and 4, served as Business Division Manager, Distribution Division Manager, and Engineering Division Manager, the position at which he is retiring; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner developed and led teams responsible for improvements to the Board’s Mississippi River Raw Water Conduits, evaluations of the Board’s Centerville Water Conduits, assessments of the Board’s River Station, and many other projects of high import; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner provided strong leadership and guidance during the design phase of a once in a generation investment in improvements to the McCarron’s Water Treatment Plant that will serve the Board’s customers for the next 50+ years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner tirelessly worked to develop an initial plan for the Board’s Lead Free SPRWS program, with the goal of removing all lead services in the Board’s system over the next ten years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner personified the Board’s commitment to provide reliable, quality water and services at a reasonable cost during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner will retire from Saint Paul Regional Water Services effective June 17, 2022; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners hereby commends Dave Wagner for his outstanding and dedicated leadership throughout his 35 years of public service; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the members of the Board of Water Commissioners extend to Dave Wagner and his family best wishes in all that is yet to come.
