Amending Council File RLH FCO 20-168, adopted February 17, 2021, to grant Irine Katras to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice an additional extension for property at 1676 WHITE BEAR AVENUE NORTH.

WHEREAS, on February 17, 2021, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File #RLH FCO 20-168, said Resolution being the memorialization of an appeal to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1676 White Bear Avenue North; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing recommended that the City Council 1) grant to March 31, 2021 for installation of stainless steel side panels over grill hood and installation of additional nozzles in fire suppression system; and 2) grant to July 1, 2022 for compliance with orders as they relate to gyro machine. All Interim safety measures, such as turning off machine when not in use and cleaning grease out hourly shall remain in place, and a fire extinguisher must be within 8 feet of machine at all times; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council considered the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter; and
WHEREAS, the Planning & Economic Development staff is requesting a 90 day extension for compliance, as owners are making good faith effort to address the hood deficiency and is working with owner on financing and will not likely have funding secured before the July 1, 2022 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends granting additional extension; Now Therefore, Be It,
RESOLVED, that an extension is hereby granted to October 1, 2022.
