Establishing a financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $64,885 to utilize Parkland Dedication funds for the creation of a Futsal court at Valley/Mt Airy.
Body
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to transfer Parkland Dedication funds of $64,885 allocated for the development of parkland in District 7, and to establish a financing and spending budget for the project; and
WHEREAS, there is a documented need for the development of park space in this region of the City in multiple studies and documents including the Parks and Recreation chapter of the Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, said funding will be utilized to provide for much needed capital improvements that will enhance opportunities at Valley/Mt Airy; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $64,885 in excess of those estimated in the 2022 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $64,885 is available for appropriation in the 2022 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2022 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended as attached.
