Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs incurred to host a graduation ceremony for new firefighters on July 29, 2022 at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department is holding a formal graduation ceremony for new firefighters on July 29, 2022 at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center; and
WHEREAS, the ceremony recognizes the achievement of the new firefighters and includes a reception where cake and refreshments will be served; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of money for the cake and refreshments serves a public purpose by celebrating the successful graduates, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $200 for the reception for the graduating firefighters.
