Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works Capital Budget for multiple Public Works projects.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works proposes to add or transfer funding into the Snelling at Englewood Intersection Improvement Project, Randolph and Victoria Signal Reconstruction Project, Shepard Road Bridge near Otto Project and Robert Street Bridge Lighting Project; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is recommending the following changes to the financing and spending on these projects:

 

                     Adding $200,000 of TIF funding as authorized by Council Resolution 18-1403 and $200,000 Highway Safety Improvement Program funding to the 2022 Snelling at Englewood Intersection Improvement Project.

 

                     Adding $180,000 Ramsey County funding to into the 2022 Randolph and Victoria Signal Reconstruction Project.

 

                     Transferring $150,000 in Municipal State Aid (MSA) funding from the 2020 and 2021 Signalized Intersection Safety Improvement Programs into the 2022 Randolph and Victoria Signal Reconstruction Project.

 

                     Transferring $150,000 in MSA funding from 2021 MSA Contingency to the 2022 Shepard Road Bridge near Otto Project.

 

                     Transferring $50,000 in MSA funding from 2021 MSA Contingency to the 2022 Robert Street Bridge Lighting Project.

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for appropriation funds of $580,000; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for transfer of appropriation funds of $350,000; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $580,000 is available for appropriation of funds and that $350,000 is available for transfer of appropriation of funds in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following particulars:
