Approving Municipal State Aid roadway system revisions in Saint Paul made necessary by the Ramsey County Lexington Parkway Realignment Project from Montreal Avenue to Shepard Road.

Body

WHEREAS, Ramsey County is constructing a realigned segment of Lexington Parkway from Montreal Avenue to Shepard Road on the current Elway alignment from Montreal Avenue to Shepard Road in Saint Paul; and

WHEREAS, this current Elway segment carries a Municipal State Aid (MSA) designation known as MSAS 164-169-010; and

WHEREAS, the Municipal State Aid designation for this Elway segment needs to be revoked in order for the County to redesignate the segment as a County State Aid Highway (CSAH) to be consistent with the rest of Lexington Parkway; and

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will redesignate the mileage removed from Elway, and other available system mileage, to alternative roadway segments in Saint Paul; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul that the street segment described as follows:

 

Location                     Route

Elway Street from Montreal Avenue to Shepard Road                     164-169-010 (0.22 miles)

be, and hereby is, revoked as a Municipal State Aid Street in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota; and be it further

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul, that the streets described as follows:

 

Location                     Route

Grove Street from Pine Street to Lafayette Road                     approx. 0.22 miles

Atlantic Street from Phalen Boulevard to East 7th Street                     approx. 0.23 miles

 

be, and hereby are, designated as Municipal State Aid streets in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota under the provisions of State Statutes, Chapter 162 State-Aid Road Systems; and be it finally

RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul, that all changes to Municipal State Aid Streets contained in this resolution are subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota.
