Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 698 DESOTO STREET in Council File RLH RR 21-58.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 21-58 on September 22, 2021 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 698 Desoto Street; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on March 22 and April 12, 2022 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated but recommends continuing the $5000 performance deposit and granting an additional extension for 180 days for completion of the rehabilitation, based on approved updated plans and financing for completing the work; and referring this matter to Legislative Hearing October 25, 2022 for determination of nuisance abatement recommendation for Council consideration; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council stays action on its findings pending recommendation of the legislative hearing officer.
