Title

Authorizing the appropriate personnel to enter into MnDOT Detour Agreement No. 1048917 for the Trunk Highway 3 (Robert Street Viaduct) project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State is about to perform bridge construction upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway 3 (Robert Street Bridge over Railroad Tracks south of Plato) under State Project S.P. 6217-52 (T.H. 3 = 334),

 

AND WHEREAS, the State requires a detour to carry Trunk Highway No. 3 traffic on Wabasha Street, State Street, Oakdale Avenue, and Cesar Chavez Street during the construction,

 

AND WHEREAS, the State is willing to reimburse the City for the road life consumed by the detour as set forth in the attached agreement,

 

AND WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 471.59, subdivision 10 and 161.25, and 161.20, subdivision 2(b), authorize the parties to enter into this Agreement.

 

 

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

 

That the City of Saint Paul enter into MnDOT Detour Agreement No. 1048917 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes:

 

To Provide for payment by the State to the City for the use of Wabasha Street, State Street, Oakdale Avenue, and Cesar Chavez Street as a detour route during the contract construction to be performed upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 3 from George Street to 179 feet north of Bridge No. 62050 under State Project No. 6217-52 (T.H. 3=334).

 

Be it further resolved that the Mayor and the proper City officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any attachments to the Agreement.
