Appeal of Trent Mayberry to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1425 MARYLAND AVENUE EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, March 8, 2022, teleconference between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  We are demolishing the building in the next 30-60 days to make way for our new Bank of America development.  The existing building was only recently vacated and we will be submitting for a demo permit any day now.  We also already have the building permit for the new building.

Date of Order(s) Under Appeal:  February 9, 2022

Inspector/Key Staff:  Matt Dornfeld

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  2/23/22-issued SAO to remove snow/ice from sidewalk (done by Parks on 2/28/22).   VB Category 2 Commercial opened 2/8/22.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Trent Mayberry to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 1425 MARYLAND AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days until May 9, 2022; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
