Authorizing the Police Department to enter into the 2021 JAG Interlocal Agreement with Ramsey County.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department accepted the 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) (RES PH 21-338); and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, serving as the fiscal agent for this award, will share the grant funds with one disparate jurisdiction, Ramsey County, and the jurisdiction’s allocation will be used for activities and projects that will provide meaningful and measurable outcomes consistent with the goals of the grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will be entering into an Interlocal Agreement with Ramsey County Sheriff and Attorneys offices for the purposes of the sub-granting of these funds; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into the Interlocal Agreement with Ramsey County Sheriff and Attorneys offices.
