Amending the 2021 Mayor’s Office budget to add $25,000 from the McKnight Foundation Living Cities Grant.

WHEREAS,in January of 2021 Living Cities awarded a grant of $75,000 to the City of Saint Paul, Department of Human Resources to support the City’s participation in Living Cities Closing the Gaps Network, which unites leaders across the country who are committed to imagining what an antiracist society might look like, and to building such a society through transforming government policies, practices and operations; and
WHEREAS, the 2021 Adopted Budget allocated $50,000 of the total award of $75,000 from the McKnight Foundation Living Cities Grant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, does certify that there are available for appropriation total funds of $25,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2021 Mayor’s Office special fund grant budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $25,000 is available for appropriation, that the 2021 Mayor's Office special fund grant budget as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
