Authorizing the appropriate City officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding with participating VISTA Sites.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the period of the 2021-2022 VISTA program year, pursuant to which it will act as a Sponsor organization; and
WHEREAS,
* Saint Paul Mayor’s Office ($7,500 cost-share/3 VISTAs)
* Saint Paul Office of Financial Empowerment ($5,000 cost-share/2 VISTAs)
* Saint Paul Human Resources ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* Minnesota Children’s Museum ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* Minnesota Community Care ($7,500 cost-share/3 VISTAs)
* Northeast Seniors for Better Living ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* Twin Cities Community Agricultural Land Trust ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* Saint Paul Public Schools Office of Early Learning ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* Ramsey County Public Health ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
* The Free Book Buggie ($2,500 cost-share/1 VISTA)
will be Participating Sites with a VISTA member placed at each Site, and each Participating Site will contribute cost-share funding for the position (as indicated); and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the process and obtain funds from the Participating Sites the City needs to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with each Participating Site; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul supports Saint Paul VISTA Program involvement and authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding as outlined in the attached document.
