Approving the final 2022 Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) budget and certifying the final HRA property tax levy payable in 2022.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (“HRA”) has adopted the HRA budget for the fiscal Year 2022 through its Resolution 21-1719, subject to the approval of the Council of the City of Saint Paul: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the HRA, pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.033, has levied the housing and redevelopment tax to be collected in 2022 through its Resolution 21-1719, subject to the approval of the Council of the City of Saint Paul: and
WHEREAS, the HRA certified property tax levy payable in 2022, is $5,157,150, calculated as follows:
HRA General Fund $5,054,007
2.0% Delinquency Allowance $103,143
Certified Final HRA Tax Levy $5,157,150
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Saint Paul City Council that:
1. Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.033, the Housing and Redevelopment Property Tax levied by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, to be collected in 2022 is $5,157,150 and is hereby approved.
2. Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 469.033, the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify this tax levy resolution to the County Auditor of Ramsey County immediately upon adoption and approval of this resolution.
3. Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 469.033, The HRA budget for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022 as adopted by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, is hereby approved.
4. The City’s Director, Office of Financial Services, staff and legal counsel for the City are further authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to implement this resolution.
