Title

Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budgets in the amount of $1,056,000 to reflect various grant funding awarded in 2022 and establishing the appropriate grant activity budgets. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $371,000 from CDBG to continue funding for Right Track operations in 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $360,000 from the 3M Step program for Right Track funding in 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $325,000 from SPPS Internships for Right Track funding in 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, Parks and recreation has developed spending plans to best utilize this grant funding: and

 

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to establish several new activity budgets, each executing an area of the spending plan; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $1,056,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
