Authorizing agreement between the City and The Travelers Indemnity Company (acting on behalf of St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company) for use of the parking facility for police operations.

WHEREAS the Saint Paul Police Department ("SPPD"), on behalf of the City of Saint Paul, desires to secure temporary parking lot space (“Temporary Space”) for the training activities at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, SPPD has negotiated to use approximately twenty-five (25) parking spaces in Travelers’ West Plaza Lot; and
WHEREAS, SPPD desires to use the Temporary Space generally between November 16 and December 21, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the Agreements contain provisions whereby the City of Saint Paul agrees to indemnify the Parties against liability related to injury, death or damage to property as a result of SPPD's activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that SPPD's use of the Temporary Space will assist SPPD's efforts to provide effective law enforcement services for local citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper city officials to execute the Agreement in a form and content substantially as set forth in attached hereto.
