Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $1,127,272.73 for the 2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant to purchase 248 radios.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has received a grant of $1,240,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grant program which has a federal share of $1,127,272.73 and a 10% matching fund contribution of $112,727.27 to purchase 248 radios for the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved this grant application on RES 21-170 on February 24, 2021 and accepted the grant on RES 21-1432 on October 6, 2021; and
WHEREAS, federal law requires a 10% matching fund contribution of $112,727.27 will be paid from the City's budget; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $1,127,272.73 in excess of those estimated in the 2021 budget:

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the changes to the 2021 budget as specified in the attached financial analysis.
