Accepting funds from the Great River Passage Conservancy in the amount of $475,000 for use on the River Learning Center Schematic Design Project.

WHEREAS, the Great River Passage Conservancy has committed $475,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Learning Center Project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this contribution and establish the spending budget for the Great River Passage River Learning Center Project; and
WHEREAS, it is therefore the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish the financing and spending budget for the River Learning Center Capital Project in the amount of $475,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council accepts and thanks the Great River Passage Conservancy for their generous funding; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $475,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2021 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $475,000 is available for appropriation in the 2021 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
