Approving adverse action against the Cigarette/Tobacco-Product Shop License held by Twones Tobacco (“Licensee”) (License ID# 20180003705) at 2005 Ford Parkway.

WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Twones Tobacco (“Licensee”) (License ID# 20180003705) for the premises located at 2005 Ford Parkway was the subject of a Notice of Violation dated September 3, 2021, stating that an Store clerk sold tobacco products to an underage person on August 17, 2021, in violation of Minn. Stat. § 609.685 and Saint Paul Legislative Code § 324.07 (g) and
WHEREAS, per Minn. Stat. § 461.12 Subd 2, the licensing office recommended a $300.00 Administrative penalty; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Violation to either pay the $300.00 Administrative penalty or request a public or administrative hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Violation stated that if the licensee failed to pay the $300.00 Administrative penalty or request a public or administrative hearing by September 17, 2021, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Twones Tobacco (“Licensee”) (License ID# 20180003705) are hereby ordered to pay a $300.00 Administrative penalty for the sale of tobacco products to an underage person on August 17, 2021.
Payment of such penalty shall be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the adoption of this resolution.
