Title

Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 1033 GALTIER STREET in Council File RLH RR 20-31.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 20-31 on March 10, 2021 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 1033 Galtier Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on September 14 and 28, 2021 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated but building inspections estimated the project was at 60% completion; therefore, she recommends that the City Council continue the $5,000 performance deposit and grant an additional extension for 90 days to January 1, 2022 for completion of the rehabilitation and will review update plans and financing for completing the work pending January 11, 2022 Legislative Hearing to develop a recommendation for Council consideration; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance conditions is unabated but will stay action on its finding pending January 11, 2022 Legislative Hearing.
