Pertaining to an agreement with Great River Greening to allow access to Board property for the removal of invasive Buckthorn vegetation.

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, Great River Greening (“GRG”) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) conservation organization based in Saint Paul, MN organized for the purpose of restoring natural areas and open spaces through community engagement; and

WHEREAS, GRG wishes to enter upon Board-owned property commonly known as the Vadnais-Sucker Lakes Regional Park for the purpose of invasive vegetation removal and seeding of appropriate native species; and

WHEREAS, GRG desires to contribute $154,000 towards a partnership project from an appropriation from the State of Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Fund to finance the project; and

WHEREAS, the Board desires to grant access for this purpose and is willing to enter into the Great River Greening Cooperative Agreement between GRG and the Board; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve the Cooperative Agreement between the Board and Great River Greening and authorizes and directs the proper officers of the Board to execute said agreement on behalf of the Board.
