Returned Mail/Notice Concerns?:
Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Property owner stated that he currently has the 35-gal EOW cart. However, he stated that Advanced is still incorrectly charging him for a 96-gal cart. He called Advanced in 2019 and was told by the CSR that Advanced was going to fix billing and provide his money back. They did not. Advanced also asked the property owner to take a picture of his 35-gal EOW cart, which he did and they still did not change the billing.
Staff Comments: Hauler records show that the property owner has been trying to get this issue addressed with Advanced Disposal since April 10, 2020. An email sent by the property owner to Advanced Disposal on 4/20/2020 clearly shows a photo of a 35-gal EOW cart at the property that appears to have been delivered before October 2018. Staff has confirmed that the property owner will receive a total refund of $304.18, which would be the difference between a 64-gal cart and a 35-gal cart EOW from Quarter 4 2018 - Quarter 4 2020. In addition, staff will be adjusting both the Quarter 1 2021 assessment and the Quarter 2 2021 assessment from $109.09 (64-gal cart with late fees) to $68.11 (35-gal cart EOW with late fees). Therefore staff recommends reducing the Q1 2021 assessment to $68.11.
