Accepting a gift of $2,475.00 from Uintah Basin Domestic Violence Coalition to cover the cost of airfare, lodging, meals and transportation expenses for Mike Seasly and Kathleen Salaba to give a presentation on their work in the area of Domestic Violence at a conference taking place in Utah on October 7, 2021.

WHEREAS, Michael Seasly, an Assistant City Attorney, and Kathleen Salaba, a Victim Witness Coordinator, work in the area of prosecution of domestic violence; and
WHEREAS, they have been invited to give a presentation at the Uintah Basin Domestic Violence Conference in Utah on October 7, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Uintah Basin Domestic Violence Coalition has offered to pay the costs of their travel, accommodations, and other related expenses in the amount of $2,475.00; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference has a public purpose in allowing them to exchange ideas with other experts in the filed and gain new insights into their work; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the airfare, lodging and other related expenses will allow them to attend the conference; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the payment of these expenses and thanks Uintah Basin Domestic Violence Coalition for its generous gift.
