Title

Authorizing the Office of Technology and Communications to use fund balance, accumulated and unspent in 2020, to increase the financing and spending budgets in the General Government phone services account by $118,285.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Office of Technology and Communications has identified critical and immediate upgrades needed for the City’s phone services, and

WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of $118,285 is required to purchase phone equipment, software, and related services; and

WHEREAS, there is adequate fund balance in the General Government citywide phone services special fund budget to cover these costs; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2021 financing and spending plan needs to be amended to use these funds; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $118,285 in the General Government phone services special fund; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $118,285 is available for appropriation in the 2021 General Government phone services account, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
